Optional Workshop A. Introduction to Self Psychology: This workshop is intended for those who wish to become more familiar with the basic theory and practice in Self Psychology prior to taking one of the Pre-Conference Courses.

Optional Workshop B. Child Therapy: One case, including material from beginning, middle and ending phases of treatment, will be presented and briefly responded to by a panel of three child therapists/analysts from different self psychology perspectives.

1. PRE-CONFERENCE ADVANCED COURSE

This course consists of theoretical presentations from five self psychology perspectives, followed by discussion groups in which these perspectives will be represented.

a. THEORETICAL SECTION of the Advanced Course consists of five short formal presentations.

In addition, representatives of the five theoretical perspectives will participate in each group. Master Class groups will be assigned at random. We regret that special requests for specific Master Class group assignments will not be accepted.
